3-Day Initial Certification Course
Designed for personnel with no previous training or whose certificate has expired. Ideal for freight forwarders, shippers, and airline cargo staff.
General philosophy & responsibilities under IATA DGR
Limitations: Prohibited items and state/operator variations
Classification of dangerous goods into 9 hazard classes
Identification: Using the IATA list of dangerous goods (Blue Pages)
Packing Instructions: Selecting correct packaging and quantities
Labelling & Marking: Correct application of labels, marks, and handling symbols
Documentation: Completing the Shipper’s Declaration and Air Waybill
Handling Procedures: Emergency response and storage requirements
Acceptance & Inspection procedures for compliance checks
Recent amendments and changes in the current edition of IATA DGR
